  “The Cafe Reflections - simply a 'reflection' of typical poor customer service” Strangely enough, the Reflections Cafe menu didn't even have any prices listed on various items - this seems VERY odd for a cafe (don't you think)? The staff members didn't even seem to be aware of this strange oddity, and yet didn't really seemed phased by this fact either. Strange indeed! However, the one thing that really let us down was the chips! These were served up within 60 seconds of ordering - a sure sign they have been 'sitting' there for ages. They were overcooked (possibly even re-heated), squashed and very dry. Probably because the cooking oil had not been changed for a while or they were cooked at a low temperature for way too long - they were awful! We sent them back, only to receive another batch of the same placed on top of the remaining bad batch. So we left them on the table and continued walking....what a waste of money! Surely it's best NOT to serve them at all and cook a new batch - customers are more than happy to wait for a new cooked batch. It seems like 'off-season' times and customer service are VERY different than during peak season. A captive audience with no real competitors, will ALWAYS ensure that quality customer service tends to generally slide downhill when the pressure is off to perform to a high standard. Been coming here for many decades over the years, and yes we all agree that the Lake and the surrounding facilities and the walk track is amazing - especially during the off-peak seasons. However, we both were surprised to not see any signs about PLEASE DO NOT FEED the WILDLIFE. This would be to discourage the feeding of the wild animals & birds that surround this beautiful natural area & the man-made fresh water lake. Human junk food is NOT healthy for animals and birds, and these were relentless all around us at the cafe. Birds sit up on the dining tables & benches, scavenging for scraps and also defecating all over the chairs & tables. Unbeknownst to this fact, are the next poor couple that sit down to enjoy their meal on the very same table! by Andrew & Jenny
